[Forward to a Friend]

Desperately need your help!!!
There is a 1980s R&B song that I have been looking for forever. It was sung by a black male with a falsetto pitch/voice and the lyrics go a little somthing like this:

"I'll be your friend. Though you treat me like a brother, I would rather be your lover baby..never give up on a good thing, never give up on a love as good as mine, take your time...take your time."

That is the best that I can do for now. But I KNOW that there is someone out there who knows what I am talking about. Thank you ALL in advance :)

I recently started a paid research music service for people that want to know that lost song and would like the option of accelerating the answer. I found not only the artist and song information but the original music video.

In the event, you would prefer this option, the answer is available at the link below for my research fee.

That's (one of my favorites) "I'll Be Your Friend" by Precious Wilson, a woman. I use to think it was a man too because she sounds like 80's singer Curtis Hairston (deceased, I believe).
