Dance song in foreign language
It's driving me crazy !

Maybe turkish or arab (or even jewish),it was a huge hit on the dance floors (not on te radio) back somewhere in 1986-87-88. Not sure if it was called house music...

It think the refrain had the word hosana (or something similar)in it.

Thanks to anyone who can help !! (Google failed me on this)

I think it's rather house !!!
I'm pretty sure it was house music !!! Please help !!!!

refrain words look likes "bushowan ni hosanna...." I know it's seems strange but I remember that song being one of my favorite. It had an oriental melody. I live in Canada so maybe it was not a hit on other countries dance floors... it was "in" for maybe months only !!

Help !!!!!!

Got your message, glad you liked the mix. Wish I could tell you the name of the track. It does sound familiar, but I can't place it. If I can recall it, I'm sure I will wake up tonight and think of it.

Could it be something by C.C.C.P. ? They often used foreign sounds in their stuff. I recall one song in particular that was Asian sounding, "Orient Express" or something like that. I know their stuff was all over the dance floor so maybe check them out.

Good luck,
DJ Goop

Could it be this artist?

Ofra Haza

I remember she had a huge dance hit around the time you mentioned.

I don't have an answer for you but I know the song that you are describing; it was played in north-east American nightclubs too around 1986. Like you, I am looking to identify the song and artist.

I think I got it.You might wanna try this one by a Moroccan band.It was sung in arabic and originally released in 1984 but became well known one or two years after that in America.

Fata Morgana by Dissidenten
